That's one of the benefits of the Desert Physician Association. We're an association of more than 350 board certified, multi-specialty, independent practice physicians in the East Valley of the Phoenix Metropolitan area. We serve Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Ahwatukee, Apache Junction and the surrounding areas.
Our physician membership is comprised of primary care (internal medicine, family practice and pediatrics) and specialists physicians trained in all major specialty categories of medicine. These physicians have been working closely together for many years providing quality medical care to people like you, the members of our community. Our physician members undergo annual credentialing and peer review by the association as well as credentialing by health plans in accordance with NCQA standards. You'll find many of our members are included on Phoenix Magazine's Best Doctors list.
Our member physicians accept most HMO heath plans including Healthnet and Great West (One Health Plan). They also participate in many PPO networks including Admar, Arizona Medical Network (AMN), AmeriPlan, B.C.E. Emergis, Beechstreet, Evolutions, Fortified Providers, Healthnet, Integrated, Great West (One Health Plan), Galaxy, MultiPlan, PHCS, Schaller-Anderson, and USA MSO. Chances are, your medical treatment will be covered by your health plan. All of our member physicians are on the staff of Desert Banner Medical Center, and most are on the staff at Chandler Regional Medical Center, Banner Mesa and Valley Medical Centers, or Tempe St. Lukes Medical Center.
